Fallout 4’s second DLC has now been out for a few days, and while small, I believe it delivers most of what I hoped for.
Wasteland Workshop is the second DLC for Fallout 4, and this time is a smaller, building themed update, featuring more buildable items in your settlements. What I like about it is the fact that there are so many new things to build in most categories. Originally, building was still a lot of fun for me, but I always felt like what you could get was very limited, now there’s a lot more to do and keep me occupied after finishing the main story.
I particularly like the new decorations, new neon lights, and the concrete structures, which gets rid of the rustic look of Fallout 4’s settlements we had to put up with. What is also a bit different is the new arenas and cages, which allow you (with certain perks) to capture and keep creatures, such as Deathclaws, Dogs, Mirelurks, and even Raiders, and then use them to your desire, pitting them against each other or your poor settlers.
However, it’s not as big as myself and many other players hoped, but it doesn’t ask for much money and is a nice, filler DLC for those who enjoy the sandbox element of Fallout 4. It’s not much, but it does the trick.
